We all want a bit of sun and a hen weekend can be a perfect opportunity to get on a plane and find a beach. For most this meant a trip to Spain and the various Costa’s, but the times they are a changing.
Albufeira is in the southern Portuguese region of Algarve and has some of the most perfect beaches on the planet. Portugal is still just a few hours by plane like Spain but boasts a much more cost-effective time. Portugal is relatively cheap, yet has all the things that more expensive places like Marbella in Spain boast. The sun, sea and sand are all here.
For a hen weekend you can enjoy the weather and location with an amazing boat party where your group will hit the high seas and party like millionaires. We even have a bespoke journey where you will discover the natural caves on the Portuguese coast.
If you want to stay on dry land then Albufeira has everything you would expect from a top hen destination. Portugal is famed for its cuisine and this will be your chance to try it up close. You will love it so much that Nando’s will never hit the same spot again.
Wales might not be the exotic getaway your looking for, but if you are group looking to be active on your weekend then it is hard to beat Snowdonia. This is a veritable playground for adults with its mountains, lakes and caves. If your hen is an adrenaline junkie then Snowdonia will cater for all her fixes.
If you like your heights, then Zipline Velocity will see you attached to a wire over incredible landscapes and sent at speed over everything as if you were flying without wings. If you don’t like heights then you can go underground. Bounce below is a series of trampolines built into caves and spectacularly lit up. This is truly one of the most unique activities we offer.
If you prefer to get wet on your hen weekend then you can always hit the roaring rivers and test your hen group teamwork with white water rafting!
Spain is a popular destination for hens. Most however will be picking the cities along the Spanish coast. It is easy to see why with their endless beaches. But Madrid has found new popularity and we will see it grow in 2018.
Madrid is the capital of Spain but is often overlooked for more famous cities like Barcelona. It’s population of 3 million means it is a veritable European metropolis, but its large parks and tree lined boulevards will make you think your in a much quieter place than a bustling capital. The rich and famous of Spain call Madrid home and a hen party here will get a taste of this good life.
You can really get a taste for this with a luxury spa experience
. The hen will be able to relax and enjoy all the treatments she desires. Another chance to live the high life, literally, is to hit one of the cities rooftop pools. There may be no beach in the middle of Spain but that doesn’t mean you can’t find somewhere to cool off.
Prague is usually more of a Stag Do destination but why should the girls miss out on all the perks of the Czech city? Prague offers so much more than the clichés of a stag and a hen weekend. There is so much more to the city.
If you are a fan of history and architecture then you will love wondering the streets. The central area has castles, churches and old towns. If you don’t want to walk around then you can always view it all from a bubbly bike
and get some exercise too.
Of course, many people come to Prague because of its reputation as a party town with affordable drinks. The perks of nightlife don’t stop there because you have your pick from ice bars, cocktail bars and even a bar on a river boat. Prague has always been a place where you can enjoy a drink almost anywhere.
Similar to Prague, Budapest has been a staple of stag weekends more than hens. It is named for the regions of Buda and Pest that straddle the river Danube which the city sits on. Despite having a reputation as an affordable party town, Budapest is thought of as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and a historical wonder.
The city is adept at both the relaxed approach and a home for the lively hen group. If you want to experience the culture then you can enjoy a medieval banquet, celebrating the city’s history. Then take a guided bar crawl and experience a night out from the local’s perspective.
If you’re a more active bunch then just a few clicks outside the city could see you careering on a white knuckle toboggan ride or rafting on a furious river.
Budapest is quickly turning into a heaven for hens as they discover what the stags have been enjoying all this time.
