The capital of the Czech Republic and one of the most popular cities in Europe. It is easy to see why!
Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and if you haven’t had the chance to revel in the city’s beauty then we urge you to! Prague is a beautiful city with loads of sights to see for educational, day-time ventures… though the city has two faces. Behind its historic capacity lies a throbbing nightlife and one of the best DJ and music scenes in Europe!
You and your hens will experience traditional Czech foods, its world famous beers (at a bargain price) and explore its gorgeous city landmarks. No matter the season, Prague prevails as one of the hottest, weekend, holiday destinations on the map. Hen Heaven can design you a holiday package that won’t let you down.
Prague is also a good choice for those hen groups who like living on the edge. In eastern Europe, it is fair to say you get away with more than in the red taped filled blighty! That is why you will see loads of exciting activities along with the naughty elements that makes a Prague hen weekends so special.
Great if you are looking for
Prague city centre is small and to make the most of the sights, it's best to take your time and walk around the city. Tram or bus services are also available if you have plans to go further out of the city, BUT... the service does not run all night. There is a Metro which has 61 stations and is one of the most widely used in Europe.
If you can't make sure you are within walking distance of your hotel room or pre-book a taxi. Taxis are the best option for those with tight scheduling and will also take any weight of the feet for those who are looking at walking with heels.
The river is where you can see most of the city’s infamous landmarks such as the Charles Bridge and the Vyšehrad. Interested in sights or not, this really is a must as the river banks and the distant towns are stunning! The river is also home to loads of hen activities like a river cruise meal or boat party. Utilising the river on your Prague hen weekend can make it truly special and it will also provide plenty of opportunity for some really good photos with the girls!
There are even more sights to see on foot, the town centre is really old! So be sure to have a camera prepped and ready.
You have to try the local food and beer! In the city centre there are often markets that sell hot food on paper plates and pints of beer from kegs! It’s great fun and there’s an array of foods to try. Being the Czech Republic’s capital there are of course some amazing restaurants for you to indulge, both fine dining and cheap and cheerful. As it is a capital city and tourist dominated, make sure you do your research on the best places to go – some are not as good as others for experiencing traditional food. Don’t fall into the tourist trap!
Prague is really good for extreme activities and if you're okay with getting a bit dirty and ruining a few clothes then there is plenty on offer. Quad-biking will see you tear through the Czech countryside flicking up mud everywhere. The powerful bikes will get the adrenaline pumping. If you like to get wet on a hen do then white water rafting is a fantastic activity which will utilise you hen group as a team and provide a collective experience that will be worth taking home and bragging about.
Prague has got pulsating music, underground clubs and hundreds of bars for you and your girls to experience. The bars and clubs are all encompassing, whether your rocking up in baggy T-shirts and flip-flops or glammed up looking your best… you’ll be welcomed with open arms.
The city boasts some fantastic clubs, many of them have a huge capacity and special DJ nights, so you won’t be sat with your girls looking at an empty dancefloor with cheesy pop ringing down your ears.
However, if heavy drum and base is not on your agenda, then Prague still offers some upmarket venues. Here you and the girls can drink cocktails ‘til your hearts content.
Despite Prague’s buzzing after-dark scene, there is such thing as a having a chilled one! Relax and drink beer with the locals in one of the many lounge bars peppered along the city streets.
Prague also caters for those of you interested in the alternative scene. In the city there are many venues that play live music and have live performances. No matter what you’re feeling there is something to suit all you girls.
There’s no better way to spend your afternoon than on a cruise through the city down the Vltava River.
